ANNUAL SEASONAL FLU VACCINATION - DON'T MISS THE BOAT!

5/10/2009

It's important that everyone aged 65 and over as well as people in the designated clinical at risk groups (people with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, serious respiratory illness etc.) makes an appointment with the nurse to have their annual seasonal (winter) flu vaccination as soon as possible.  This protection is strongly recommended. If you have had a letter inviting you to make an appointment, or you are in one of the "at risk" groups and know that you need this vaccination every year, please contact the Practice as soon as possible on 01934 862532 to make your appointment as soon as possible.

We are aiming to get the seasonal flu vaccination campaign completed within the next 2 - 3 weeks as we will then need to start planning for vaccinating the at risk groups against swine flu, as soon as the swine flu vaccination is released after licensing in the U.K.

More publicity about the swine flu vaccination programme will follow when we are clear about the timescale.
