 | Swine Flu - national assessment and treatment line 0800 1 513 100 | 24/7/2009 | | | | | | The national pandemic (swine) flu line has been set up in England - 0800 1 513 100.
Patients who have symptoms that they think may be swine flu should phone this number. The flu line staff will assess their symptoms and, where appropriate, make arrangements for antivirals (Tamiflu) to be collected by the patient's relative or "flu friend".
If staff in the swine flu line service feel that the patient needs to be seen by their GP, they will advise them to contact the Practice to be dealt with by our duty doctor in the normal way.
We hope this national flu line will ease some of the pressure the Practice has been working under in recent weeks. |
