*  The Practice Nurses offer appointments to deal with asthma, blood pressure (BP) reviews, Cardiovascular disease reviews, and to give depo-provera contraceptive injections. They also provide the Minor Injury service and do dressings, suture removal and other treatments.

*The Healthcare Assistants (also known as "blood nurses" or Phlebotomists) take all blood tests, ECGs, and offer appointments for spirometry and new patient checks. Two of the Healthcare Assistants are trained as Support to Stop Smoking Advisors and will be pleased to help those who wish to give up smoking.  Most weeks we have an early session at Churchill surgery starting at 6.30am.

If your doctor has requested a fasting blood test then please refrain from eating anything from midnight before the test. You are allowed to drink water only but nothing else during this time.
